Pink Eye

Once the weather turns cool it seems that Beau always gets sick. Last year we dealt with ear infections, colds and congestion. It seems that his year will be no different. MeMe picked Beau up from school and saw that his eye was so puffy that he could hardly see out of it. I quickly took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with pink eye. It never really bothered him but he sure looked like someone socked him in the eye. The doctor gave us some good eye drops that cleared it right up. But it did move from one eye to the other so we know now to make sure to put those eye drops in both eyes even if the other one does not seem to be infected. Our boy is so tough!

All Dressed Up

Beau got all dressed up for another morning at church. How cute does he look!

A Visit to Huntsville

Sandy asked if Beau could go back home with her for the week after Halloween and I thought that was a great idea. Beau needed some time with Nanna and PopPop so this was great timing. They always have a great time together. Jon loves it too because he can see Beau after work. PopPop took Beau to the playground at the church and Beau loved it. They sent me pictures of him sliding, trying to ride the bike and swinging. How fun!

They also treated Beau to a haircut which was much needed. His hair grows so fast these days.

Beau also attended a funeral with PopPop. He got dressed up and went to the visitation for a few minutes. He looked so handsome!

Popeye The Sailor Man

Beau is only 18 months old so he is not old enough to pick out his Halloween costume yet. I know he will love picking it out one day. This year we decided to dress him up like Popeye. We found the costume online and it was so cute so we went with it. Beau was the cutest kid on the block! He wore the full costume the entire time and enjoyed every second of it. He was a trooper! Jon came into town for Halloween which was on a Friday and we were thrilled. His parents also came into town so we celebrated Halloween at Chris and Kelly’s house. Jon picked Beau up from school and brought him to our house to get dressed and eat. We dressed him up and took some good pictures. He loved it!

After we snapped some pictures we headed to Chris’s house for trick-or-treating. We were not sure how Beau would like it so we set our goal of going to 3 houses and seeing how he did from there. Well Beau LOVED it! He would walk right up to the door and wait for someone to open the door. He has not mastered knocking yet so Jon would help him out. We told him to take only one piece of candy and he did but most people told him to take as much as he wanted because he was so cute. We went to about 20 houses before he had enough. Kelly is pregnant so she stayed home to relax and cool some soup for us. She dressed up as Super Woman for work so we snapped a few pictures of her a Beau.

Halloween was a success and I think it will only get better as the years go on. Beau is so much fun!

Lois and Beau

I grew up in Daphne and went to Bayside Academy from 1st grade until I graduated. A girl named Katie Murphy was in every grade with me growing up and she had a little girl named Lois exactly one week before I had Beau. She and I have kept in touch over the years and now we are getting even closer due to our kids being the same age. I remember sitting in the hospital after Beau was born texting her questions about all kinds of things. She and I exchange thoughts and experiences as time goes on with our little munchkins and I appreciate her friendship. She has been looking for a school for Lois and they visited the Montessori school the other day and sent me these two pictures. How cute are they!!
